Scandinavia is a region in northern Europe that includes Denmark and two of the Scandinavian Peninsula's nations, Norway and Sweden.

Scandinavia extends to the north of the Arctic Circle, but has relatively mild weather for its latitude, owing to the Gulf Stream. This in my opinion is not entirely true - for South Africans, -19 is extreme!!

They are on our timeline, so there is no trouble with jet lag, the problem however is travel time, as it is usually a minimum of two flights if not more.
One of the mistaken perceptions that we have as South Africans is that when you travel to these countries it is all about skiing... No, no, no! We did not grow up skiing, and probably by the time that we can afford to travel, we will never learn to ski.

There is so much more to do there.
Ice Hotel
Father Christmas (he lives in Finland)
Ice Hotels (in Finland, Norway and Sweden)
Reindeer sleds
Dog Sleds
Snow Mobiles (great fun)
Skiing (yes, of course, you have to try it and they are very good with beginners)
